Geography

In Geography this term we are looking at our local environment. On Tuesday 8th March we went for a walk and paid particular interest in things we liked (trees, plants, fields etc) and things we disliked (litter, cars parked on pavements, dog fouling). We decided how we could solve these problems, ie putting up signs, writing to the council etc.

Following on from this walk we looked at the advantages and disadvantages of a scrapyard. We have investigated re-cycling The children created their own leaflets emphasising the importance of renewable resources.

We walked around school and then to the scrap yard and talked about what we liked and disliked.
